Safer Recruitment Training

This short course aims to provide managers and seniors with greater awareness and knowledge to ensure you employ the very best person for the post, whilst making safer recruitment decisions to safeguard children, young people and adults in your care.

This course is suitable for anyone that works in a recruitment role, managers and Human Resources Personnel to embed safeguarding throughout every stage of the process.

Course outline

  • Understanding the 4 key stages of the recruitment process
  • To gain knowledge in re-recruitment planning: job advertising, application forms, descriptions, specification and job information packs.
  • To discuss interviews, selection concerns, Disclosure & Barring Service, obtaining references, selection decisions, fitness to work, regulated activities, overseas candidates and relevant legislation
  • To learn the components for post-recruitment: including codes of conduct, induction training, observation and supervision & appraisals, allegations, whistleblowing and organisational procedures, including full details of what needs to be in place when the new person starts work for your organisation.

Course notes : During this session there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss and develop recruitment plans and share experiences.
