Safeguarding Children Training

This module is suitable for all staff that may be working with children and adolescents.

To introduce the concepts of the children Act 1989 & 2004.
To understand the 4 categories of harm.
To be able to identify the signs & symptoms associated with each category.
To have an awareness of local legislation procedures for child protection, and referral procedures. Legislation includes: Safe From Harm 1993, Protection of Children’s Act 1999, Every Child Matters 2003, Sexual Offence act 2003, Working together to Safeguard Children 2006.

This course is aimed at raising staff awareness of child protection in relation to a variety of work areas.
