Continuing to offer individuals access  to cost-effective induction, mandatory and enhanced skills short courses; as well as our very popular 3.5 day induction and mandatory programme (mapped to and supporting the Care Certificate Induction) we have added some NEW courses - and repeated others -  in response to popular demand.

All delivered at Norwich venues by highly skilled trainers with many years of experience in health & social care.

 Tue 10 JulyHealth & Safety, Infection control & Fire Safety           (Care Certificate standards 13 & 15) 1.30-5.00pm Incl.H&S at Work legislation & reporting responsibilities (eg. RIDDOR); causes and the spread of infections; correct handwashing (practical exercise with UV lightbox); PPE & safely dealing with laundries,spillage & disposal.  Wed 11 JulyBasic Life Support & First Aid                            (Standard 12 and mapped to the Resuscitation Guidelines)  1.30-5.00pm Recovery position,CPR & rescue breaths; 1st aid for seizures, choking, bleeding, shock, burns & scalds, minor injuries. Thur 12 July Medicines Management 9.00am-1.00pm  For all staff involved in medicines adminstration, to encourage and underpin safe practice:to raise awareness of accountability and responsibility and encourage ‘safe practice’; to incl. 7 ‘Rights’; safe storage & disposal.  
 Monday 16th July MCA & DoLS and the Mental Health Act 9.00am-1.00pm Aiming to increase understanding in respect of the impending changes to these essential pieces of legislation which relate to all health, social and voluntary care provisions.To refresh both Acts  (ADRTs, LPAs, Deputies, OPG, Sections, CTOs, 117s etc.) to understand the legislation and changes effective from 20 March 2018. £49 +vat
 Friday 20th July Epilepsy & Seizure Management 9.30am-1.30pmTypes/classification/potential causes/common trigger factors of seizures; Status epilepticus – how to recognise & respond appropriately;1st Aid for seizures: VNS, rectal diazepam & buccal midazolam –practical using training models. £49 +vat

 Tues 16 September Train the Trainer Update 9.00am-5.00pm  Day 2 available for established moving & handling trainers to complete their annual/biannual update - again with use of a wide range of equipment (as above) POA
