This half day course is aimed at staff working within the health and social care sector who wish to develop their understanding of Parkinson’s disease.

MODULE OBJECTIVES

  • To understand Parkinson’s disease, causes, statistics & progression
  • To understand the different stages of Parkinson’s Disease
  • To understand the different presentations and signs & symptoms of Parkinson’s disease
  • To gain knowledge of the treatments for Parkinson’s
  • To understand the importance of maintaining accurate records of changing needs & person centred care

MODULE OBJECTIVES

This course will involve group discussion and the opportunity for participants to address professional & personal experiences, relating to Parkinson’s disease
