Infection Control Awareness Training

This 3-hour training session aims to provide staff with a better understanding of Infection Control issues within their work environment and how to deal with day to day ‘real’ issues and scenarios.

MODULE OBJECTIVES

To understand the background to the legislative requirements in the workplace
To understand the importance of correct hand washing procedures
To be able to protect yourself and others whilst at work including – specimen collection, clinical waste, spillages, gloves & protection clothing, instruments and equipment
To have a clear understanding of associated risks
To gain a clear awareness of the 5 different types/groups of clinical waste (A-E)
Gain basic food hygiene awareness in relation to preparation of storage of food
To understand ‘common’ infections and required actions
To gain awareness of Company Policies and Procedures relating to Infection Control

Duration: 3 Hours

Who should attend: All staff members – Reg. Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Support Workers

Certification: Certificate of Attendance plus completed individual questionnaire and ‘scenarios’ as evidence of Common Induction standards

Cost: £295.00 (Maximum of 15 Candidates)
